White kitchens are all the rage these days, and we’re totally into this trend! We love incorporating unique features to add dimension, color, and character when designing for a monochromatic room. We do this through distinctive lighting fixtures, furniture and hardware. This renovation project in Birmingham, AL was so fun to work on, and we even got our hands dirty with a little DIY!
Making a White Kitchen POP.
This kitchen remodel was an exciting project from start to finish, and when adding the finishing touches on the furnishings we encountered an unexpected DIY-moment. We found the bar stools (pictured) at a retro store for about $200 each. They had chrome legs, but I really wanted them to tie in with the gold tones in the lighting fixtures, so we decided to paint them gold ourselves! They turned out fabulous and soon after completing this project, we found similar white chairs with gold bases retailing for over $500!
